Ossa was founded by Wright Bagwell: a designer, entrepreneur, and passionate tinkerer. He spent his childhood racing motorcycles and bicycles, and spent most of his playtime at home in the garage learning how to disassemble, improve, and test his bikes at the race track. At university, his passion for tinkering led him to begin building his own PCs. A 25 year career designing games reinforced his love of owning powerful PCs. Wright founded Ossa to produce hardware that is beautiful, satisfying to build, and inspired by the racing machines he grew up with.

The core objective of this project was to enable the assembly and disassembly of a PC without requiring any tools. Building upon an existing structure, we began by enhancing the functionality of both the top and bottom sections. The top plate underwent a redesign to optimise airflow and was crafted from a single piece of milled aluminium. Incorporating a handle was a response to the growing trend of switching between home office and main office. However, the standout feature of the design lies in the steel wires. Utilising two smart PLA spacers, these wires securely clamp the top and bottom sections to the case, facilitating disassembly without the need for additional tools.
